Marketing & Communication Manager

Ogilvy & Social.Lab Brussels is looking to hire a Marcom manager to assist in marketing the agency on the Belgian and International market, working to directly support the Client Service Director.

The Marcom manager would be tasked to create, implement, and oversee external communications programs that best describe and promote the agency and its services. This role provides interaction and collaboration with all agency departments as well as with persons external to the agency or within our global network.

The Marcom will be responsible of the management and content production for the agency’s social presence (Facebook, Linkedin, Twitter, Instagram) and for the agency website.

Responsibilities :

  • Understands the agency communication strategy: brand positioning, clients, competitive context and targets, digital ecosystem, social media objectives.
  • Establishes an external communications calendar in conjunction with senior managers who will work together with the Marcom manager to build a strategy to promote the agency’s vision and mission.
  • Ensures agency initiatives and new projects are successfully communicated to the market.
  • Plans, edits, and writes content for a variety of external communications mediums: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Linkedin,..) and also updates the agency website and does some content development, manages any agency print or online promotional advertising.
  • Ensures external communications messages are consistent across all mediums.
  • Ensures internal communication messages are consistent with external communication messages.
  • Oversees and manages proactive and reactive communications.
  • Builds and maintains strong and collaborative relationships with department heads and other internal client-management resources or project leaders.
  • Keeps the Agency credentials presentation/s for new business opportunities and pitch presentations up to date.
  • Maintains the agency customer reference case studies up to date – gathering any new input from agency account leaders.
  • Maintains the client prospect data base
  • Writes press release and engage with trade and general press.
  • Assists with planning and implementing on-site or off-site events to promote the agency.
  • Identifies new topics opportunities in collaboration with the Client Service Director and the different agency department heads
  • Measures and reports all against defined KPI’s in order to prove the added value of merchandising strategies implemented.
  • Reports to the Ogilvy & Social.Lab Belgium Client Service Director, providing regular status updates and input on all activities in the pipe.

Required Skills and Qualities:

  • Experience in the same role in another organization.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Writing skills: excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills as well as a journalistic ability to source stories from employees leveraging a template designed by our PR department.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of current trends in digital media/social media and social platforms.
  • Ability to meet deadlines with ease.
  • Organized and efficient planner, proven ability to multi-task.
  • Detail oriented
  • Pragmatic, open-minded, curious, collaborative, enthusiastic, and persuasive.
  • Bilingual (French and Dutch) and with a great knowledge of English
