Global Business Director

Client: Nespresso Global CSM (content and social media team)

Position: Global Lead for the Global Ogilvy&Social Lab Social Media and Content Team

Based: Brussels — with frequent travel to meet wit clients based in Lausanne and teams in London, or elsewhere around the world as required

Responsibilities :

  • Is ultimately responsible for the efficient running of the account and delivery against clients’ objectives.
  • Builds strong and enduring relationships with clients. Also has a deep understanding of the clients’ business, of the key broader factors and trends shaping their markets and categories. Leverages this knowledge to spot opportunities for in-business to grow the agency assignments & revenue.
  • In tandem with the strategic department, develops the most insightful strategies and sharpest creative briefs possible.
  • Is the creative department’s most senior contact on a day-to-day basis and as such can add value to briefs, can judge work and can present it to clients with conviction acting as a Brand Steward.
  • Creates the best possible environment in which to produce the best possible work.
  • Supports the Sr Account Director with production rollout and can provide supervision in partnership with production department and help his/her team grow on production knowledge.
  • Builds the respect, loyal commitment and performance of his/her team members while nurturing talent.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • 10-12 years experience – broad expertise in integrated communication including ATL, digital & social, and activation. Very comfortable in a creative agency environment.
  • Strong affinity for social media & willingness to develop expertise on this specific topic and partner with social media planners and strategists to build stragegy and drive optimizations.
  • Skillful client relationship management – and comfortable in maintaining and growing senior client relationships and spotting business opportunities to nurture across the client set. Not afraid to speak up for the agency’s efforts or to “help the clients help themselves.”
  • Expert in Scoping and Financial discussions for efficient and profitable agency performance.
  • Proven experience in production supervision of complex projects, including video & print production – helping to drive smooth processes and outcomes lending strategic advice and other support for a Sr Project Manager from brief to implementation.
  • Masters English & possibly another language – French is prevalent within the client set.
  • Proven experience as a Team Manager with an ability to work with talent from a variety of cultures and backgrounds
